Dr. Mikro Fiche: Guitar, Synthesizers, and Vocals
Dr. Shrink Wray: Bass Guitar
Dr. Philip De Chi Chis: Guitar
Dr. Drummond: Drums
Dr. Morton Rockowitz: Synthesizers
NB - What's going on in Bolide Institute of Research and Tech(no)logy? Any new experiments or projects?
Dr. Shrink Wray: - We are currently developing Clone Cologne.
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - Aside from that, we are developing some new audio tracks to prepare our next recording.
NB - Tell me how did the whole thing start?
Dr. Drummond: - The condom broke.
Dr. Philip De Chi Chis: - Regarding the band, we all met at a meeting for the League of Extraordinary Genitals. (L.E.G)
Dr. Morton Rockowitz: - Sean Connery introduced us.
NB - Your music is weird mix of wave and garage - tell me what you like to listen to?
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - Well, I must say that there are a wide range of musical tastes with The Bolides. We all have some different elements to add to our little compound.
NB - Which instruments do you use in your lab to create this kind of music?
Dr. Philip De Chi Chis: - Timonium 238 Space modulators.
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - Tin Foil, Chewing Gum, and Ethernet Cables.
Dr. Shrink Wray: - Sonic Wave Oscillators.
Dr. Morton Rockowitz: - Also, Dr. Fiche and I both use ARP Synthesizers. I use the Odyssey and he uses the Axxe.
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - We all love our Danelectro reissues. My Hodad is the best, next to Dr. De Chi Chis' double-neck.
NB - There are lot of new/nu wave bands in US at the moment. What do you think about the whole scene - bands, labels?
Dr. Shrink Wray: - Our label doesn't interfere with our impoverished lifestyle.
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - Yes indeed, Our label keeps us humble. I wish that Napster would pick up our song "Math" for a commercial. I sing, "Do the math!!" and that's their new slogan. It seems that is the goal for many bands in the US, sell your song for a car commercial or something.
NB - What's your favorite movie(s) and book(s)?
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - we don't get out of the lab too often, but I did really enjoy "Life Aquatic". What a soundtrack!
NB - Which record from your record collection you wouldn't sell even for million $$$$$ if you knew you wouldn't be able to find it anymore? Or maybe you prefer $$$$?
Dr. Morton Rockowitz: - We prefer the money.
Dr. Drummond: - To fund research and development. (R&D)
NB - How do you spend your free time?
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - We try to save our free time instead of spending it. Even though it's free. It all adds up.
Dr. Philip De Chi Chis: - I have been spending my free time trying to figure out what came first: T&A or DNA?
NB - Any plans to tour Europe?
Dr. Shrink Wray: - Yes. We will be e-mailing it out soon.
Dr. Mikro Fiche: - We are going to upload ourselves.
NB - Can no brains readers visit your lab for brain transplant?
Dr. Drummond: - Definitely, just send us your old brain in a self addressed envelope and we will send out the new one.
