Shaun is a guy with lot of worries on his mind - his best friend, always grumbling girlfriend, mom, stepfather, borring job, ... So many worries he doesn't even notice that one day when he wakes up the dead are walking the earth. Together with his best pal he tries to save his mom and girlfriend by taking them to safest place in town - local pub (place his girlfriend hates the most). Hilarious horror comedy - great caracters, great story, lot of zombie smashing ... I will not say more, you must see it!!

I really love when I can judge CD or record by just looking at the cover. When you see Some Action CD sleeve, you know it will sound good. I'm so glad I was right, 'cos from the first to last riff, these guys really know how to rock. It's the best snotty punk'n'roll in tradition of my old favorite bands like Real Kids, Dead Boys, Saints, ... Some Action just have something what makes their music timeless and so great. 5 fast dirty and rockin' punk tracks are not enough for me I WANT MORE, so gimme SOME ACTION. Super catchy, well produced, but punky enough to become one of your favorite bands ever.

"Rock&Rollercoaster" is simply great. When I heard it for the first time, I thought - THIS IS IT! It's just one of those albums you must have in your collection. It's - I don't know how to say - perfect mix of my favorite 70s bands - Radio Birdman, MC5 and early Flamin' Groovies with strong 60s garage influence. All songs are my favorites. I already heard this CD few times and this is definitelly a real masterpiece. "Begging Me For More" is sung by Alicja (Lost Sounds). It's great songs and Alicja sings super, not relly Lost Sounds sound - more late 70s glam punk. By the way I think that Alicja should sing more often in Lost Sounds too. Anyway "Rock&Rollercoaster" is the best album of Sons Of Cyrus so far. If you don't have them yet in your record collection, run to your local record shop or just order it immediately. One of the hotest bands at the moment. I only hope someone in Holland will realise that and they'll come to play here now, not in 10 years when they become stars. By the way, you also get really cool "What To Do" video on this CD!!!!

| THE SURFACERS "THE SURFACERS" CD, Green Cookie Records 2004

The Surfacers are from Buenos Aires, Argentina and they play instro surf. Well, Latin American bands are my weakness. I just like the way they treat their instruments - strong and tender at the same time with lot of emotions. It's the same rule for The Surfacers - just after few cords they are definitelly one of my favorite surf bands. Perfect mix of fast and furious surf tracks with relaxing and romantic tracks. These guys are great. Nice and warm sound, beautifull guitar melodies, groovy rhythm section and my room is full of heat. It's almost impossible to pick out some favorites 'cos the songs are just perfect. It's definitelly one of the greatest surf albums I ever heard. Very exotic and beautiful music writen by this great band. This summer will never end with The Surfacers. Also big plus to Green Cookie Records one of great new labels!!

THE ULTRA 5 "DENIZENS OF DEMENTIA" CD, Green Cookie Records 2004 |

"Denizens Of Dementia" is a compilation of rare Ultra 5 tracks from late 80s and early 90s including 1 unreleased song as well as 2 video clips. Ultra 5 are definitelly one of my favorite garage punk bands. I really love their trashy, psychotic and primitive garage punk sound, vox organ with fuzz guitar and cool garage punk image a bit in Cramps style - also 2 girls in the band (organ + bass). 24 tracks and all of them are mindblowing. Few covers like "Off The Hook" (Rolling Stones) or "The Last Ride" (Davie Allan). It's really difficult to pick out favorites here 'cos I will probably write all 24 songs. Anyway, here are some cool titles: "Lady Orange Peel", "Satan's Angel", "Hell", "Psychedelic Soul", "White Trash", ... If you don't have any records of Ultra 5 yet, this CD is a great opportunity to hear this great band with cult status.
