AMBIVALENT "TWO WRONGS MAKE A RIGHT" CDr, Broken Bonez Records 2004
Fast anarcho hardcore in early 80s style, not my taste, but I must say these guys are not bad at all. Only 1 thing that I don't understand - they are anarchists, but they thank god. Maybe I'm a bit stupid or maybe I miss something, but god and anarchy don't go with each other.

BBQ "TIE YOUR NOOSE", Bomp records 2005
BBQ is Mark Sultan and he plays all instruments. This CD is recorded live. I don't know what to say about it. You know what I think about 2 man bands, but 1 man band is a bit too much for me, or too little. Mark is doing his best, but it's really too minimal and recording quality is also really bad, so I can't say much. I don't like it - sorry. It sounds like bad demo or some room recordings, very amateur. Maybe if he finds few guys and gets a band together, maybe this would sound better, but this is really nothing. I guess it's not easy to be Hasil Adkins.

THE BEAUTIFUL KANTINE BAND "ROCK'N'ROLL HAT UNSEREM LEBEN EINEN NEUEN SINN GEGEBEN" LP, Kamikaze Records 2004
Weird band from Austria. It's kinda neo 60s garage surf beat mixed with early 80s NDW with German lyrics. I don't understand much, but it seems that lyrics are very sarcastic, cynical and funny. Still, you can enjoy this record a lot, even if you don't understand the lyrics, cos the songs are pretty cool and there are also few instrumentals. It's really great band!!!!

BOTTOM "YOU'R NEXT" CD, Small Stone Records 2005
I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is 100% girl band. At least names Sila, Nila and Clementine sound like girl names. Anyway, Bottom is new CD on Small Stone records. Musically it's pretty different from other stuff we got from this label. In stead of very heavy hard stoner rock, Bottom is pretty alternative and a bit psychedelic. They are a bit stoner rock, but they remind me of more noisy and metallic version of Babes In Toyland. Songs are a bit too experimental and it sounds very confused. There is also some industrial stuff - some street workers drilling... I don't know, not really my kinda stuff.

DANGERMEN "SUMMER OF DANGER" , Wild Eagle Records 2004
DangerMen are one of the best surprises last time. "Summer Of Danger" is great album loaded with loud, short garage punk songs. Guys are from Brisbane, just like legendary The Saints and their influence is very obvious - specially vocal, but also music (I'm talking eaarly Saints - 1st and 2nd LP). Great garage punk / 77 style punk, simple and catchy songs, short and straight to the point - just what we need. Long live DangerMen!
