THE ACCIDENTS "ALL TIME HIGH" CD, Rock Alliance 2004
If you can imagine Devil Dogs playing Oi street punk, you'll get The Accidents. "All Time High" is really great album filled with short, fast, rockin'' street punk songs. Super raw and loud with broken beer vocal and rockin'' punk guitars. The thing I like the most about The Accidents is they keep the melody that I like in r'n'r music and lot of punk bands don't have it. They mixed rock'n'roll punk with Oi/street punk and I think it's really great combination. Great band, great songs - the only thing you can do is get drunk and pogo. My faves are: "Mean Mean Woman", "Every Beat Of My Heart", "Too MUch To Drink", "Dancing To The Beat", "Bad Money" ...

ALL AMERICAN WEREWOLVES "HATE ROCK USA" CD, Eugene Records 2004
All American Werewolves are strange mix between 77 style punk garage and psychobilly. It's actually I would say punkabilly. Short raw songs, pretty rockin'' and pretty weird. Loud, dirty, badly recorded, primitive ... good for my ears. My faves are: "King Kong", "Friday Joe" and "Past The Graveyard".

THE APERS "THE SKIES ARE TURNING BLUE" CD, Stardumb Records 2005
Apers slowly switched from Ramones pop punk to really cool pop punk / power pop in their own strange style. OK, let's not tell stories, they simply recorded their best album so far and that's really something. A band that after many releases goes up with the quality is very rare. The sound is much more rockin', melodies vary more, guitars are done better - all together it sounds great. MY faves are: "She Wants Everybody To Dance", "I'm That Guy" (could be just a little shorter), "Annabelle", "Wine And Dine" (with cool guitars that remind me of Thin Lizzy)...

THE BAMBOO KIDS "THE BAMBOO KIDS" CD, Get Hip Recordings 2004
The Bamboo Kids play 77 style punk, strongly under NYC scene influences - somewhere between New York Dolls, Television and Richard Hell And Voidoids with here and there a new wave touch. Pretty cool album, but not really catchy songs. So Bamboo Kids are not love at first sight, but a band you have to give a bit more chance to. I only don't understand why song "Don't Get Better" that's over 5 minutes long and where they sound like Rolling Stones from their worst albums or Prince, or maybe it's some joke I don't get. Bamboo Kids are best when they play plain and straight punk, I think you guys should stick to that. Unfortunately I wasn't able to see their video on my Mac.

THE BLACK JETTS "RIGHT ON SOUND" CD, Dead Beat Records 2005
The Black Jetts are back with new album "Right On Sound". This album is even better then the previous one, which was great. That means this one is super great. Sound is more losers, guitar solos are more acid, songs are super super great and these guys are definitely one of my fave bands. I'm in love with Dead Beat Records 'cos they don't care much about garage punk new wave shit and they keep the real r'n'r still alive bringing out better and better albums all the time. I guess it's not necessary to say that "Right On Sound" is album that will find a place between my fave Stooges and MC5 records. I guess that's the best compliment I can give Black Jetts for this great album. Turn the volume up and enjoy: "Thrill City", "I Just Wanna Be Loved", "When I Was A Young Boy", "Your Love Aint So Strong", "Get Ready" (great Temptations cover with Hammond), ... Oh yeah - you also get cool video of "All Sexed Up".
