HETTEN DES "COWBOYS CON COJONES" CD, Drunkabilly Records 2005
Hetten Des are already known to No Brains Zine readers with their unsuccessful Motorhead cover, at least to me. Here is their CD and it's more or less in the same style - country rockabilly, not really my taste. It's too country and I really don't like country. Nothing is wrong with Hetten Des - good musicians, good songs, done good, but it's simply not my taste. I prefer black side of rock'n'roll - I prefer Chuck Berry upon Elvis. I guess Hetten Des are great live, specially if you want to get drunk with great Belgian beer - maybe you can say the best beer in the world, but I still have to go to Czech Republic. Anyway, I would even listen to country if I would get free Belgian beer with it.

HOSENFEFER "HANGOVERS AND HEARTACHES" CD, Kizmiaz Records
Hosenfefer are from Kosovo (Serbia). They play speed rock garage punk with really trashy and loud guitars and raw snarly vocal. Songs are really great - loaded with energy and good riffs. Not much melody, but songs still keep hanging in your ears and after 3rd song you start screaming the rest. One of the dirtiest rock bands I ever heard, totally wasted vocal with fantastic guitar riffs - actually everything is just perfect and this CD is real masterpiece. Hosenfefer remind me of The Nerds on their 1st album, Nashville Pussy and Devil Dogs. All 10 songs are my favorites, but here are some titles, just so you can have an idea: "Alcohol + Hate", "Star From Striptease Bar", "Bullshit Summer Song", "Too Stupid To Rock"... This CD is very big surprise and you should try to get it.

JAKES "WE ARE THE DJ'S" DEMO CD
French 77 style glam punk from Bordeaux - place where lot of great bands come from. It's a shame this was never released properly. 11 fast, catchy, wild and full of energy r'n'r killers. Just play it as loud as possible till your boxes go into flames and you break your imaginary guitar that you play while you scream and jump with Jakes. No faves here, everything is just greeeaaaaaaat.

THE KRUNCHIES "IN DE WINKEL" CD, Criminal IQ Records
I don't get the US bands with Dutch album titles, after Fevers now The Krunchies. Well, if the Dutch didn't trade US colonies with English and if New York was still New Amsterdam, all US would probably speak Dutch. It would be Verenigde Staten instead of United States and all r'n'r would be in Dutch - but....hahaha. The Krunchies and their mini LP - I guess it's a bit too short for Long Play but there are enough songs on it. Anyway it's great. I'm not a big fan of hardcore, but if somebody does it as great as Krunchies... Short songs with screamy vocal. Everything is super fast but with melody and songs are quite different. When you listen you start jumping around and doing crazy things with The Krunchies. I see a car in front of the building, ready to take me to mad house. So it's time to put this CD from de winkel into your basket.
