MILKY WAYS S/T CD, Alive Records 2006
Milky Ways should be new attraction from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Members played in different known bands - Spaceshits, Sexareenos, Del-Gators. Actually, they all played in Del-Gators, so I don't understand why they changed the name. Anyway, it's neo 60s garage punk, played very trashy and recorded even more trashy. I was never a big fan of Spaceshits or Sexareenos and I don't remember what Del-Gators sound like - anyway, this is OK, probably good fun live with good and cheap beer.

THE MISTERIOSOS S/T CD, Triptone Records 2005
We already know The Misteriosos from the compilation CD "Get Outta Philly" with "West Of Nowhere" - real killer song. Here is their 1st album with 12 tracks. The Misteriosos are psych garage trio with male/female vocal, fuzz guitars and Wurlitzer and Farfisa organ. This album is more 60s garage psych style, while the song that was on compilation was more in Stooges style. But that doesn't matter, Misteriosos are really great band! Accent on this album is more on psych than on garage - songs are bit longer with lot of strange effects and really nice organ and melodies that makes them sound acid and trippy. Jerry Roll and Tula Storm change on vocals. It's pity that on some songs Tula's vocal is produced a bit lower - I think these would sound even better with bit louder vocal. Some songs have the charm that Syd Barrett had - although musically they are not the same.

| THE MOCKER MONKEYS "MISTER GREEDY STRIKES BACK" DEMO CD, 2004
I know that that it's hard to be original using the garage punk templates, but some bands manage to do it. "Mister Greedy Strikes Back" is really fantastic 9 song demo CD that contains. Neo 60s garage, but played on way nobody ever did. At least I find it difficult to compare them with some other bands. Anyway, The Mocker Monkeys shouldn't be unknown to No Brains Readers. The 1st CD they sent was also weird and original. On this CD they experiment with 60s influences and some strange new forms that aren't new wave or psych, this is simply the insane Mocker Monkeys. Great sense for humor, a bit surrealistic. There is even acoustic track that sounds like a campfire tune. Anyway, it's enough to see the song titles: "Fascists On Mars", "My Best NME", "Irine From Russia", "Freaks In Jail". CD ends with crazy bonus - weird garage psych in Italian.

| MOTOSIERRA "SON OF A BITCH" 7"EP, Bad Attitude 2006
Motosierra is finally back with some new tunes. More wild, more aggressive and faster than ever. Yesterday I was listening to Zeke and they sound like pop band comparing with Motosierra. I'm sure if a bigger label would take these guys they would get bigger - kids would love this!!!! Motosierra is getting better, not only musicaly but also their song writing is improved. They deserve to be huge. Big plus for Bad Attitude for one more great record they released.
