STEREO JUNKS "SUICIDE ANGELS" CD EP, Star Trash 2005
NoBrainers already had a chance to read about Stereo Junks. So here is their latest EP. I must say this sounds even better than the CD they sent last time. 70s glam punk in style of New York Dolls, but more heavy - even a bit like Stooges. Anzi Destruction doesn't just look cool, he is a great singer too. This is rock'n'roll punk the way it should be, wasted and great for my ears. Super band and I hope to hear more soon. I can't get no satisfaction from just 4 songs.

THE SUBWAYS - DEMO CD, 2004
Teenage garage punk attraction from London, spiced with blues/rhythm and blues - girl / boy vocal - all done really great. On this CD there are only 2 songs which are so great, and I only wish to hear more. I know I already heard "Rock'n'Roll Queen" somewhere and because I'm so late with this review, this is probably already a hit! And no wonder 'cos it's a killer song. I only know it remained somewhere between my ears and it won't leave. I want more!!!

SUPER 88 "SUNBURNED AND BRANDNEW" CD, 2006
Super 88 are back with new portion of 5 songs - stranger, weirder and crazier than on their 1st demo CD. This CD starts with "Soon Forgotten...Soon Regained" - psychedelic stoner punk, pretty 70s with cool acid fuzz leads. "Or Else" is on the edge of indie pop and psychedelic rock, really weird and cool song. "Don't Stop" is heavy psych blues and "Trying To Fill Up A Gap" is acoustic miniature. CD ends with over 7 minutes long psychedelic monster "Sunshinefool" - cool Doors like organ vs acid fuzz guitar leads. What I miss on this CD are surf influences that were on their 1st CD. But I guess not everything can be the way I want it to be - hahaha.

TAXI "WHO'S TO BLAME" 7", Dead Beat Records 2006
Taxi is one of my fave Italian bands. 77 punk, retro, but good with great songs. If you don't know it's a new band, you would have never guessed it. This is their latest 7" on Dead Beat Records - limited edition. Taxi didn't change. It's still great old fashioned punk with great production and great songs - just the way I like it.

TORRENTE
Director: Santiago Segura
Cast: Santiago Segura, Javier Camara, Neus Asensi, Chus Lampreave, Tony Leblanc, Julio Sanjuan...
Torrente is a lazy, rude, drunkard, sexist, racist cop who only cares about himself. He lives in a filthy old apartment with his wheelchair-bound father, whom he treats really bad. One day, a new family of neighbors move in, and the sexy younger daughter, Amparito, catches his eye, so he becomes a friend of Rafi, her nerdy brother, to get closer to her. At the same time, he discovers that a band of drug dealers are operating in a nearby Chinese restaurant. What happens after that - you must see. Story is odd and great with huge amount of black humor. Film is done really fantastic. All actors, including Torrente (played by director himself) are real weirdos. Superfunny movie and one of the best action comedies I've ever seen. I love this kind of humor. Unfortunately, in Holland, you can find this kind of movies only if you dig them out of pile very cheap DVD's which huge shops take from god knows where.
