U.S. BOMBS "WE ARE THE PROBLEM" CD, People Like You 2006
To be honest I'm not very familiar with U.S. Bombs discography. I think they're around for quite a while. I heard about them at the same time I heard about Rancid and new wave of US 77 style punk that was quite popular in mid 90s. "We Are The Problem" was out in March this year in Europe on People Like You. Very raw, primitive and dirty street punk with catchy songs - real punk rock killers.

THE VULTURES S/T CD, Big Muddy Records 2005
It's not very often to hear a band who creates its own style by mixing different old styles like 50s r'n'r, rockabilly, surf and garage. Vultures did it really good and they deserve a place in your record collection next to Cramps and Fuzztones. This CD, I guess their 1st one, is a small masterpiece that saw the light thanks to Big Muddy Records. Vultures are trio with girl on bass. Music is very primitive and there are few covers. It's all done so great, that you can't help it but love this band from St. Louis. They sent a DVD with 2 live clips - it only proves how super great and extraordinary this band is. I really hope to hear more from them and see them in Holland soon.

WAY OUT WEST "EVOLUTION" CD, Kamikaze Records 1997
This CD was released back in 1997, but I finally got to hear it and review it now - better ever than never. 8 tracks, some known and some unknown to me. Classical instrumental surf with reverb guitar and hot melodies. Real thing for hot summer days, when it's over 30 degrees and you drive as fast as you can with your car direction seaside.

ZOMBINA AND THE SKELETONES "I WAS A HUMAN BOMB FOR THE F.B.I.", PROMO CD
Zombina And The Skeletones are definitely a band with own style and strange image based on trash cult movies about zombies and similar creatures, but also modern terrorist moments. This is not shock rock band like Frankenstein Drag Queens or Murderdolls, but fullblooded punk with catchy power pop like songs. 1st CD they sent was more rockabilly and this one is more punk power pop with some rockabilly songs - so they changed their style a bit and sound even better than before!

SPLIT - ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN / BAD DOG BOOGIE CD, Nicotine Records 2004
BAD DOG BOOGIE "MOTORFUCKER" CD, Nicotine Records 2003

We all know Electric Frankenstein and they have 4 songs here. I'm not very familiar with huge Electric Frankenstein discography. But these 4 songs are in their trash garage punk style, nothing new, but done profesionally. Great cover of Girlschool's "Not For Sale". Bad Dog Boogie are from Italy and they play great trash garage punk with hard punk riffs and speed rock touch. More or less in the same style as Electric Frankenstein, maybe a bit more punky and with catchier songs. Great guitar riffs, more wasted and honestly they are better band than Electric Frankenstein. My faves are "Rotten Bones", "13th Floor Generation" (pretty bluesy, let's say speed blues / rhythm'n'blues with cool harmonica leads). And for collectors of Ramones covers, "Judy Is A Punk" in hard punk style sounds really great.

Bad Dog Boogie's "Motorfucker" CD contains 10 songs in same style. Faves are first track - sorry can't read the name from this copy, "Call Me The Bishop" (nice punk'n'roll), "Cum Gets In Your Brain" (nasty and sick on Italian way), really furious "Motorfucker" and "Whole Lotta Hate".
