FREEBOOTING PROFITEERS "INDUSTRIAL SLIT / THROUGH THE NIGHT" CD SINGLE, 2006
Freebooting Profiteers are back with the newest single "Industrial Slit" and I think this band is getting better and better and this is so far their best CD single. 2 great songs - if it was a 7", it would be a AA side. I think Freebooting Profiteers finaly found their own style influenced by 60s, early 70s and 80s, but still modern and original (as far as band can be today in guitarmusic world) garage punk mod. "Industrial Slit" is a real killer, catchy but noisy, a bit new waveish modern garage punk. I think it's a time that Freebooting Profiteers record a full length.

GARBAGE WHORES "ON TV" CD-EP |
No sleeve, only song titles and band info with short note from the band: "Hey! Here's a CD of The Garbage Whores! Luv, Ernie & Sissy, The Garbage Whores". Only think that can attract you is the name of the band that's so genious. And of course it can be a miss with this name. But when you play this CD, you can't believe your ears. The Garbage are really the last trash on planet Earth and I love them. Their fuzz is so loud, vocal is so bad, everything is so destorted and songs are so great. You can compare their trashiness with Mummies, but music is not 60s garage style - it's trash garage from outter space. I don't know on which planet they found their recording equipment, but the sound they got is so primitive and great. You also get 2 bonus instrumental songs, or should I say instrumental noise madness. Brilliant.

My CD player can't play this CDr, so I was able to hear only 1st 3 tracks. 1st was psych pop, 2nd new wave, 3rd indie pop. I didn't like them very much.

KILL THE HIPPIES "ERECTOSPECTIVE" 2CD, Rock-n-Roll Purgatory
This is 1st time I hear Kill The Hippies and as you can see from the title of this CD, it's double retrospective album. On 1 CD you have stuff from their 7"s and compilations and on 2nd CD you get unreleased stuff - in total 77 songs. It's early 80s US hardcore punk style, not too fast and it's more punk, pretty lo fi and trashy with some garage influences. Recordings are from 1993-2004. Core of the band are Melissa (bass) and Matt (guitar) - they changed drummers and guitarists. Songs vary - not only in production and sound, but also speed, some are more poppy others more experimental, some are more wave. So listening to 77 songs of 1 band is not so hard. But so many punk songs at once is like when you drink a bottle of vodka in 5 minutes. Better make 2 separate CDs or maybe 4. Anyway, we have great stuff here.

| MICRAGIRLS "FEELING DIZZY, HONEY" 2CD, Bone Voyage Records 2006
If you don't already have a record by Micragirls in your colletion, then you don't like garage music. Here is their new album, that's released as 10" and 2CD (songs from 10" + bonus CD with 45s). As I already reviewed 2 of their 45s, I will concentrate on the album - small wild and primitive garage punk masterpiece. Micragirls were great on 45s, but this album sounds maybe even better and it's definitely one of the best things I've heard lately. Girls play so well, songs are so great, sound is brilliant, fuzz guitar tears your speakers while rude and primitive keyboard sound brings you to 7th dimension. Great, screamy, but raw vocal. Few covers, but most songs are band's originals. Watch out for these 3 cave girls from Finland. When you hear this album, you'll realise that Headcoatees are nothing but a gimmick.
