TRUCKERS "MY STAR EP" 7"EP, Big Brothel Records
Truckers are from Sweden and they play super fast punk - 21st century style. If you can imagine Henry Fiat's Open Sore a bit slower and more punk, you'll get Truckers. But Truckers are no HFOS copy, only they know how to put lot of energy in their songs. Pretty original and atomic speed with thundering chainsaw guitars + great vocal and killer songs.

TVH-3 "NEON BURBS" DEMO CD
TVH-3 always send CDs with 1 song. So if they go on like this, I think I'll wait for few CDs next time and review them at once - hahaha. "Neon Burns" is one more track of this pretty good neo 80s electro new wave band. They do it really good. I don't know what to say, guys record more songs and make some sleeve for CD as well. You have great music and you need some kinda design now.

WILD WEEK-END "ORRENDO ROCK" CD, Nicotine Records 2006
This is 2nd CD I got for review from Wild Weekend. I must say that I didn't like the 1st CD so much, but Wild Week-end got sooooooo better in 2 years time that they really kick ass now. I don't know if there is one more CD in betweern, but this one is really fucking great. Super manic fast hard rockin' 77 style punk. Totally my taste. If you like stuff like Slaughter And The Dogs, New York Dolls, Radio Birdman, 77-78 US punk - Wild Week-End are definitely for you. 13 killers with great sense for humor - not too much, but you can laugh here and there. Loaded with energy, guitars cut your ears, rhythm beats your stomach - so after these 13 songs you feel like you got out of the ring after a fight with profesional boxer. I hope to see them live here in Holland!!

V.A. "BROKEN BONEZ EL PASO, TX." CD, Broken Bonez Records 2003
14 songs by bands on Broken Bonez Records. Fixed Idea songs were on their CD we already reviewed - 2 great ska punk tunes. Ambivalent - hardcore punk, oldfashioned, raw and really good. D.E.K. super fast hardcorish punk. Hot Rod Boogie with rockabilly influences. Even Lower is pop punk, but very primitive and raw, pretty garagey. I guess maybe the best pop punk band I heard. Losers definitelly the fastest and loudest band on this CD. Hard hardcore punk with Motorhead vocal, short and ultra fast songs. Last band on this CD is Radio La Chusma, different from the other bands they play americana tex mex with beat. Really crazy. Unfortunatelly this CDr gave me problems on these last tracks so I couldn't hear them properly. If all bands from El Paso are as crazy as these bands on Broken Bonez Records, I guess you're not bored when you go out at night.

V.A. "SERBIAN GUITAR ATTACK" CD, Basement Blues Records
Great comp with 9 bands from Serbia. Each band is represented with 3 songs, so in total you get 27 tracks. This CD adds Serbia to map of countries where good garage and punk are played. Next to our friends Hosenfefer, you can hear next bands: Novembar (punk in Serbian language); Corrosion (similar to Hosenfefer, inspired by Motorhead, Nashville Pussy and dirty r'n'r but more roots and blues and less heavy hard rock, in English), Schizophrenia (77 style punk speeded up with manic and loud guitar work and great vocal, in English), DMT (77 style glam punk'n'roll with rockabilly vocal, Serbian lyrics), Mighty Dogz (Scandinavian style action punk / hard rockin' punk, band with strong 70s influences, only more trashy and more punk and more Stooges style, great vocal, English lyrics, actually they remind me most of ex Yugoslav garage band Messerschmitt), Concrete Worms (street punk, wasted and very loud, English lyrics), Grandpa Candys (rockabilly / psychobilly, not really my type of stuff, but they sound really good, vocal sounds like Stray Cats, but music is more trashy, English lyrics).

V.A. "THE UGLY TRUTH ABOUT BLACKPOOL VOLUME ONE" CD + BLACKPOOL ROX II ZINE, JSNTGM
JSNTGM is already known for some great stuff like Higgins++, Sick 56 etc. This CD is a compilation of punk bands from Blackpool from 1977-2005. It starts with Skrewdriver "An-ti-so-cial", followed by Zyklon B and Male Models, but also more avantgarde and wave Section 25. Also bands of 2nd wave of punk from begin 80s like One Way System, The Fits... Obviously they never stoped playing good punk in Blackpool from '77 till now. Lot of bands on this CD were unknown to me, specially bands from early 90s like Take Lindy Surfing who have a CD out with 4 demo songs and 4 songs from rehersal room. This CD is great oportunity to meet the Blackpool scene. You can read lot of interesting stuff in the zine as well.
