THE MUTANTS
TIMBA AM GAYA/LAI-THONG 7"
Dull City Records 2002
I'm always glad to get new stuff from this band. They always surprise you with some weird and crazy stuff. The mutants say this is their best stuff
so far - well this is really great. Both songs are super groovy mambo funky surf instrumentals - the way only Mutants can do.

THE PAYBACKS
KNOCK LOUD CD
Get Hip Recordings 2002
The Paybacks are punk rock/glam punk band from Detroit. I really love the sound and the production - it's really knockin' loud. Songs are good too
and they kinda hang in your head. The only thing I don't like is the vocal. Singer tries to sound like Slade singer, but it remains me more of Rod Stewart. Actually it's not so bad in some songs - the ones that are less poppy and
more punk - like "Blackout". But ok, this is my taste. Please, don't get me wrong - Paybacks are very good band with great songs.

THE RAZZELS
THROTTLE CD
Get Hip Recordings 2001
Huh, pop punk. Not really my fave. So I guess I'm not the good person to review this CD, but as I'm the only person writing reviews here - I'll have
to. Well, it's typical pop punk you can hear on MTV. Maybe somebody will call this power pop, but anyway - it's not my cup of tea or even better my bottle of beer (I prefer stonger beer, no pilsner please). The Razzels are too much stop and go, well songs have catchy choruses and there are probably lot of kids who will like them, but just not me.

RECKLESS BASTARDS
IT'S TIME FOR FUZZ CDr
2002
Reckless Bastards are one of really great bands that labels somehow manage to skip. And they, fore sure, should have a release - well, at least one.
It's killer punk rock/garage punk, very trashy with great songs. I love all 3 songs on this CD, but my fave is "All My Fault" - probably because of
the keyboard.

THE RESONARS
LUNAR KIT CD
Get Hip Recordings 2002
I love this CD. I already heard it few times and I really enjoyed it. It's nice and pleasant mixture of beat, mod, folk punk and indie. You can sense
sounds that will remind you of great bands like Byrds, Beatles or Kula Shaker (well, their 1st album). Vocals are really great. It's just music you
don't hear every day, and not this well played. All song are really good - can't say which ones are my favorites. When you listen to this CD you just
can't think of that - it's music that you should enjoy - lay down, close your eyes and let it take you places. Ok, maybe my fave is "Why Does It
Have To Be So Hard", but next time I listen to this CD, it may be another song.
