Finally - new Royal Beat Conspiracy album is out and I really dig it. It's different from "Gala Galore". It's a bit less crazy - and I must admit - I do miss that craziness a bit. But this album is great as well. It's more style focused, but don't ask me how to call this style - it's RBC style I guess. That's what I love about this band - when you hear them, you can't think it could be some other band. It's some kind of mix of garage, pop, soul, r'n'r with here and there some other influences. What you get on this album is more organ which is really really great and I love it. I also love the spacey sounds and flute. I think my fave here is shakin' and rockin' "Super Sweet".
 

This band is weird, but I like it. "Mind Wrath" is psychotic trash punk and "The Closest I Ever Came To Fucking Myself" (huh long name) is more bluesy. Trashy blues seems to be in now days. Well, Goodbye Boozy is the right label for this - I recommend you to check all their stuff.
 
 

"Bad Woman" is nice garage punk with girl did me wrong lyrics, fuzz and farfisa and Billy Childish kinda vocal. I really like this song. "You'll See Me Cry" is more easy and I don't like the vocal here - sounds too heartbroken. Organ is nice.
 

I'm glad there is more coming out on Dull City Records, and I can say that this guy is bringing out some great and weird stuff definitely worth checking out. "String's Gonna Get You" is some kind of hard rock funk - really good with great vocals. On b side you get great, weird and trashy version of "Purple Haze". I know this 7" you won't find easy in your local record store, so dn't be lazy and get it straight from Dull City Records!
 

Great trash punk rock from Quebec. This band has energy and makes your adrenaline run like wild. I like catchy and rockin' songs and trashy vocal. Just tell me why I should be trying to dig old punk bands when they can't give me sooo much energy as Smash Up Derby.
