THE SPITTS
STAY AWAY FROM ME HONEY/WILDDOG/DEVILRACE 7"EP
Zorch

Hell yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Better hold on to what ever you're sitting on - cos this band will blow you straight to hell. Fast and hard high energy rock'n'billy with great Motorhead sounding vocal and guitars that will burn your speakers. I can't get enough of this - can you? I can't say which song is better. First 2 that are fast and furious or "Devilrace" that is really great high energy rockabilly. Just went to check The Spitts Rocknet, but the site doesn't seem to work. And I'm dying to know if these guys have more - I must have it.

THE STERICS
FAMES A FORTUNE 7"EP
One Back Street Records

These are recordings from 1979-81. The sound quality is not really the best. A side is pretty good power pop punk and last song "For Lovers Only" is great glam rock that reminds me of Marc Bolan and T. Rex. B side is again power pop punk with weird Bob Dylan sounding harmonica in "If You See Kay". To make things weirder these guys wrote and performed a punk rock opera.

SWEATMASTER
SHARP CUT CD
Bad Afro Records 2002

Finland is shaking really hard. I love this band. It's energetic and Sweatmaster rhythm just makes me move. It's kinda groovy and hard - and I love that combination. They have something of that great Scandinavian sound, but also something original. Oh, what the hell - just go and get this album - LP or CD. It's a killer.

SPLIT - MOTOSIERRA/TRASSELS 7"EP
Bad Attitude 2002

Don't ask me to tell you why I like Motosierra sooooooooo much, cos I can give you 1000000000.....s of reasons. But you should know that these guys have great catchy songs, they are supersonic fast, they have energy that no other band today has and they have fucked up attitude - but real fucked up attitude. As they say: "Nice boys don't play rock'n'roll". Just try to find another band today that can get even close to Motosierra - I don't think so. On b side are The Trassels from Finland and they are rockin' in same vain. I like this band a lot too. All in all this 7" is a killer and there is no reason for you not to buy it. Also don't forget to get Motosierra XXX LP - it has 2 bonus tracks that are not on CD and great cover art. Actually if you don't have any of their stuff yet, I don't know what you're doing on this site - you must be a nice boy.

SPLIT - THE MUTANTS/NIEMINEN AND LITMANEN 7"
2002

Ok, stuff gets even weirder when Mutants get special guests to play on their record - Ski Williamson (Flaming Sideburns) on guitar and Boris Raw doing Hojo Hojo! vocal. I love this song - this is just mega crazy and ultra no brains stuff. Niemen And Litmanen is crazy organ/drums duo. What can I say - if you have great drummer and great organ player - you can kinda miss the rest of the band. This is soooooo groovy and psych craziness with really nice sphere. I love this 7".

SPLIT - ROOM 41/TEEN COOL 7"EP
Mortville Records

I'm just crazy about this Japanese shit - oups trash. Only Japanese bands have this great sound - it's trashy as hell and it's rockin' to heaven. Great punk rock with catchy songs. I hope there is, or there will be an album by this band. Teen Cool are punk'n'rockin' on b side in the same trashy fucked up way. Killer 7"!!!
