DENNIS MOST AND THE INSTIGATORS "WIRE MY JAW" 7"EP, Bad Attitude Records 2003
Here is new 7" by US metallic punk - Dennis Most And The Instigators. It's not really stuff that I like, but it's not that I don't like it. It's weird mix of 77 punk (Damned), heavy metal, glam rock, but also bands like Cult. Sounds pretty powerful. Shit, I really don't know what to write here - hahaha. If the whole idea sounds good to you, try it - maybe you'll like it.

DUNG "SORT IT OUT / TWENTY POT SCREAMER" 7", dB's Records
This record is real piece of shit - you get shit on the sleeve and record looks like shit (where did you find such shitty vinyl color) and it sounds like shit - hahaha. Only production is not so shitty. OK now get serious - everything is shitty here except for the music - hahaha. Dung are new band of Ross (ex Cosmic Psychos). It's great heavy punk with fuzz bass - more or less in Cosmic Psychos style if not even better. Real shit for your ears!

THE EARACHES "FIST FIGHTS, HOT LOVE" CD Steel Cage Records 2003
Wow, I love the sound this band has. Oh, wait this is new name for Reckless Bastards. I'm really glad they finally have release. Great dirty distorted guitars and vocal, pumping bass and driving rhythm. Trash garage punk straight form dirty, beer smelly bar loaded with anger, hate and alcohol ready for fight. My favorites are "I Used To Be A Looser", "Don't Need Your Love", "Prednisone", "All My Fault" with organ and great catchy chorus and super fast "Secrets".

EVIL THINGIES "CHANTE / I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU EVERYTHING" 7", Kinky Star Records 2003
One of the Belgium's greatest garage punk bands and one of my favorite that unfortunately just split up. But fortunately they managed to release 2 records during their short existence. On this 7" they play 2 different versions of "I Can Give You Everything". "Chante" is in French sung by Evelyne - organ, while B side is sung by John - guitar. It's obvious that they think that this song is greatest tune ever and it definitely is one of the greatest. These 2 versions are simply mind-blowing and it doesn't matter that you heard this song 1000 times already. It still kicks ass!

FOURSTROKE "THE BIG SMOKE AND MIRRORS / MY WAY OR THE FREEWAY" 7", Out Of The Loop Records
It's nice when you have a 'review' written on the sleeve. It's also handy when buying new and unknown band and record shop asshole doesn't allow you to listen to records. They wrote "imagine The MC5 as The MC3 knockin' out Sabbath, Purple 'n AC/DC tunes and you got Fourstroke". They are not so Purple and AC/DC, they are bit stoned. They have 2 guitars and drums, but there is lot of bass in their sound. Both songs are very very 70s sounding. If you don't know that this is new band, you would think they're from 70-73. "My Way Or The Freeway" has this nice early Sabbath guitar noise - you know when you hear Paranoid - you must like it. "The Big Smoke And The Mirrors" is more mid tempo hard acid psych desert rock. I'm not sure where they from, but I guess Australia. Anyway, this 7" is highly recommended and I hope to hear more from Fourstroke.
