One more great 7" by these 3 crazy masked guys from Sweden who play trash
surf. If you read interview with Local
Oafs carefully you will know that Sweden has about nine million people. And to
me it seems they have 9 million
punk garage surf bands too - hahaha. This 7" is a killer - nice primitive but
groovy rhythm and great trash surf
guitar. Funny song titles too. I like this!

Kill-A-Watts are one of my favorite bands and I must have all their records. I
know I miss 1 or 2 7"s, but I'll get
them. "Then And Now" is great EP. A side - 'then side' are 2 demo songs from
1997, cool angry trash punk with lo-fi
sound. 'Now side' is not much different - recordings from summer of 2002. What
else to say about it? Great band with
cult status already. Great record!!!

One more quite untypical Stardumb release. The Methadones are high energy punk
rock pop punk featuring members of
Screeching Weasel, Riverdales, Queers, Teen Idols ... It's some kind of punk
misfit mutant that was there since
1977 and finally hatched thanks to toxics of fucked up 2000s. Some songs are
fast, hard and energetic and some are
more pop punk. It's weird that band combines these pretty different kinds of
music, but as you see it's possible. My
favorites are: "Premature Mid-Life Crisis", "Say Goodby To Your Generation",
"Are You Really For Real?" and
"Ammuntiotn".

| MONDO TOPLESS "GO FAST!" CD, Get Hip Recordings 2003 |

The only record of Mondo Topless I had till now was their LP "Get Ready For
Action" on Dionysus from 1998 (I miss
"$50,000 Hand Job" album). Mondo Topless didn't change much, well their hairs
are shorter. Wild
baby-I'm-the-right-man-for-you garage organ + fuzz action with distorted vocal
- perfect band for wild parties. I
like: "Horsefeathers" with great chorus, psychotic "Every Day", wild cover of
"I'm Crying", ... the second half of
CD is even better and vocal sounds better when backed with wilder sound ...
"Anytime" you start to move with Mondo
Topless you can't stop till you're totally "Loose".

What can I say, Motosierra blew this little brains I had in my head, now I'm
totally 100% no brains - hahaha. So
many goodies out in short time. Motosierra did lot of covers lately - they
totally massacred all your favorite punk
songs - you should hear what they did to Ramones, Damned... I heard their new
stuff (own songs) and I must say they
sound even better than before (if that's possible - hahaha). Labels will fight
about who's releasing this. Best punk
rock today doesn't come from UK or US, but Montevideo - Uruguay. You may not
agree with me, but prove me I'm wrong.
I always said punk died with GG Allin, but these guys raised GG from grave,
gave him a shot of speed and fucked him
into pieces with their motosierra (chain saw). This is stuff you can really get
addicted to and you'll like it more
and more and you'll need it more and more. But you shouldn't be worried cos
Motosierra won't let you down. They just
get wilder and wilder and they will be the best drug you need for going on
with your fucked up life. For 'only
vinyl' people, "Rules" will be also released on vinyl soon. And of course
don't forget Motosierra "Kick Ass
Rock'n'Roll" LP that is just out on your favorite label - No Brains
Records!!!!!!
